The QAR 50,000 Furniture Grant with Qatar’s Housing Loan
If you take out a housing loan in Qatar, you will also get a free QAR 50,000 furniture grant. The grant is paid after your loan is fully disbursed. In this guide, you will find out which loans qualify, why you do not have to pay the grant back, and when you can expect to receive the money.

When you move into a new home, Qatari citizens get more than just a housing loan. Along with financing of up to QAR 1,200,000, you also receive a QAR 50,000 furniture grant for free. This grant is paid after your loan has been fully given out.
Here are the three main things you should know: which loans include the grant, what “free” really means, and when you will receive the money.
Who receives the furniture grant?
Who gets the grant depends on the type of loan. Only house purchase and construction loans qualify. Loans for demolition, rebuilding, house installation, or for heirs do not include the grant.
The grant amount is always the same. It does not change based on your family or property, and there is nothing to negotiate. Both types of qualifying loans receive the same amount.
Nothing to repay
The grant is completely free. There are no extra charges or fees, and it is separate from the loan itself.
You pay back the loan in monthly installments over several years. The grant is simply given to you. It does not increase your payments or get deducted from your loan.
When the grant arrives
The grant is paid only after you have received the full loan amount. How this works depends on the type of loan you have.
With a construction loan, the money is given out in stages as your building progresses. For a purchase loan, the money goes to the seller once the property is registered in your name.
In both cases, you receive the furniture grant after the loan is fully paid out, not at the start.
