Porto Arabia, the island’s largest and oldest district, is the original district of The Pearl Island. Its towers surround a central marina designed for yachts and boats.
The district has 31 Mediterranean-style towers with 7,206 homes, including 417 townhouses, and 360 shops and 95 restaurants and cafés across 119,000 square meters, plus 891 yacht berths.
The La Croisette boardwalk runs 3.5 kilometers around the marina.

Porto Arabia is still the easiest place to buy on the island. A studio costs a median of QAR 1.12 million, and a one-bedroom costs QAR 1.6 million, compared to the island average of QAR 1.75 million.
At QAR 12,778 per square meter, it is about 15% cheaper than the island average of QAR 15,064, mainly due to its large resale supply and older buildings.
The newest areas list asking prices of QAR 22,134 per square meter in La Plage and QAR 19,712 in Gewan Island, a 73% difference between the highest and lowest prices on the island.

The smallest townhouses are at marina level, at the base of the towers. A one-bedroom unit here rents for QAR 10,000 per month, QAR 2,500 more than a similar apartment upstairs. Tenants pay extra for direct access to the boardwalk, not extra space.
Arady’s listings include a fourth category with four bedrooms, renting for QAR 22,000 and selling for QAR 4.15 million.

Daily life in Porto Arabia revolves around the marina and the boardwalk, where 95 restaurants, cafés, and brand stores line La Croisette. The water taxi operates daily from 8 am to midnight, with fares starting at QAR 25 for a 20 to 25 minute ride.
