How to List Your Property for Sale in Qatar: A Step-by-Step Guide for Owners
A step-by-step guide for owners on listing a villa, land, apartment or building for sale on Arady, handling buyer inquiries, and completing the ownership transfer at the Ministry of Justice.

To sell your property, you can manage the process yourself or work through an agent or real estate company.
In Qatar, the official party responsible for real estate transfers is the Ministry of Justice (MOJ).
You can apply at a Single Window branch, or through the Ministry of Justice Sak portal on the internet or mobile app, using your Hukoomi account.
MOJ verifies the seller’s and the buyer’s ID numbers and expiry dates, along with the other details required for the transfer.
If you choose to sell the property yourself, here is how:

Tips for successful advertising
It’s important to have a valid title deed before posting, and use the dimensions in the title deed when listing.
Use landscape photos without filters and taken in the day time, as it’s more likely buyers will be drawn into your property by photos before they inquire further.
List the age of the building, if there is parking, the service charges, whether the property is vacant, how much it’s being rented for, and the end date of the current tenancy agreement.
If you don’t want to deal with advertising, managing inquiries, scheduling viewings, and negotiating the selling price with potential buyers, you can use a professional broker to manage this for you.
How to respond to inquiries
Once you have posted your property, it will appear in the specific area page where it’s listed as well as in search results. If buyers are interested, they will contact you via the call or WhatsApp buttons that are linked to your profile. You can manage your listing and arrange viewings with buyers via your Arady dashboard.
How to finalize the transaction and transfer ownership
To complete the sale and transfer ownership officially, follow the steps below. It’s important to know that you can’t transfer title without this process. Once your property is sold, remove the Arady listing from the dashboard to avoid inquiries.
Use the Ministry of Justice’s Sak portal or app to apply to transfer ownership (or visit a MOJ Single Window branch in person). Login using your National Authentication System (NAS) credentials. Select Real Estate Registration Services, then Real Estate Transfer Transactions, then Sell.
Enter your personal details (as the seller) and provide details of the purchaser (as the buyer), and the property data with the valuation and the agreed value.
Add the required documents including a copy of the original title deed, identification documents (QID or passport), commercial registration, establishment ID, and commercial license (if the seller or buyer is a company), a power of attorney if someone signs on your behalf, and where relevant a determination of heirs or a letter from the General Authority for Minors Affairs.
Review the transaction terms before payment. The MOJ fee for a transfer of ownership is 0.25% of the property value, a QR 200 bond fee, and QR 100 scheme fee.
After payment, the MOJ’s Registration Department will review the application and decide on acceptance or rejection within two working days. They will also send a notification to all parties with the status, and the reasons if rejected. A representative can submit the request for you, but is not counted as a party to the transaction.
Once you receive notification of approval, the buyer and seller must attend an MOJ branch with valid identification to finalize the transfer ownership process.
