Between 1 and 31 August 2026, a total of QR 1.68 billion worth of property sales were registered with the Ministry of Justice, according to the ministry’s weekly real estate bulletins. For the month, which included 22 uninterrupted working days, 538 properties and residential units changed hands.
The Ministry of Justice published its monthly bulletin for July on 17 August, which, as reported by the Qatar News Agency, showed that property sales worth QR 2.06 billion were registered in July through 599 transactions. The 22 working days of August came in 18.2% below that figure in terms of value, and 10.2% below it in terms of number of transactions. Here is how the value was distributed, the ten largest transactions, median land prices by area and what users searched for on Arady.
August in Three Numbers
- In the 31 days of August the total amount of registered transactions at the Ministry of Justice reached QR 1.68 billion, 18.2% below the QR 2.06 billion in the ministry’s July bulletin, with no summer pause in registrations.
- On average the registrations for the month were worth QR 3.13m, down from QR 3.43m in July, as most of the activity in terms of value came from the volume of mid-range villa and land deals rather than a few big-ticket ones.
- Residential land sales in Al Wukair exceeded sales in all other areas with total sales of QR 62.4m at a median price of QR 235 per sq ft. This price is the third lowest on the land price table.
A Steady Month with a Strong Finish

Through the month, the working days went through about the same amount of actual volume in terms of total registrations. The four full weeks brought QR 377.2m, QR 330.5m, QR 371.3m and QR 411.2m in turn, followed by QR 193.2m for the two working days of the last week of August.
The busiest day for registration was Thursday 27 August with QR 169.0m, lifted by the largest plot sale for the month in Al Hilal, while Monday 17 August at QR 39.8m was the quietest day of the month. Seventeen out of the 22 working days generated between QR 45m and QR 100m, registering the purchases of households over big-ticket deals.

About the Data
- All transactions are sourced from the weekly real estate bulletins from the Ministry of Justice for the period of sales registered between 1st and 31st of August 2026, at values as published. Where only part of a property was sold (a share transfer of property), the sales value of the property as recorded by the Ministry of Justice for the full property has been used for these totals. There were 44 share transfers out of the 424 property transactions in August.
- The July figures for sales were derived from the Ministry of Justice’s monthly real estate bulletin as reported by the Qatar News Agency on August 17, 2026. These were QR 1,859,383,090 in total sales from 485 deals plus QR 197,755,279 for 114 residential units. These figures were reported separately from the weekly totals behind the August figures and thus are compared to the August figures as published.
- A search is recorded for each view of a location’s page and each property’s listing page on Arady during the period of 1-31 August 2026. Also, the search figures for July were pulled again by the same method and therefore differ from those figures reported in the July report (110,511 instead of 110,241). Locations whose Arady pages cover more than one zone (Al Thumama, Muaither and Izghawa) are counted as one location across their zones, as in the July report. Arady lists properties for sale only.
- All areas are listed under the area name and not under the zone code, so entries such as Al Thumama 46 to 50 are combined under the parent location name. Al Kharayej and Ghar Thuaileb, both in Lusail, are listed separately in the bulletins.
