Companies are listed in alphabetical order, with those at the top starting with early letters.

How We Choose Who Appears on This Page

Each company meets the same three standards.

1. All companies listed here have a valid license from the Ministry of Justice.
2. Each one keeps an active portfolio listed online for both rent and sale, running from over a hundred live listings at the smallest company to more than two thousand at the largest.
3. Most have a Google rating of 4 stars or higher, with hundreds of reviews.

How to Check Any Company’s License

All companies listed here have a valid license from the Ministry of Justice.

The easiest way is to ask the company directly. If a company hesitates to provide its license number, it’s a warning sign. If they hesitate, it’s a warning sign.

Commission and What You Pay

For rentals, commission is usually up to one month’s rent, roughly five percent of the annual rent. Landlords pay this fee, but it’s sometimes passed to the tenant.

For sales, commission is 1% to 5% of the price, with most deals closing at 2% to 3%. Sellers pay this fee.

Where Foreigners Can Buy

Freehold ownership is available in 10 zones, and usufruct rights in 16 others. Foreigners can own property outright in 10 freehold zones, such as The Pearl Island, Lusail, and West Bay Lagoon.

What To Do If Something Goes Wrong

If something goes wrong with a brokerage, contact the Real Estate Brokers Affairs Committee at the Ministry of Justice.

Gather your evidence, such as the brokerage agreement and payment receipts. They will investigate and can impose penalties under Law No. 22 of 2017.
